If you would like to join us on this ride, please reply in the thread.  http://mississippi-mud.com/showthread.php?tid=17959  (you have to register and login to see the Trail Rides section.
_______________________________________________________________

It is time to do another "Easy Ride".  An Easy Ride is exactly that; an easy trail ride that is aimed at those who want to see what they can do with their 4wd vehicle without tearing it up.
An Easy Ride is also where we take to time to ask and answer the most basic questions.  There will be live demonstrations of reading terrain, vehicle prep, vehicle control, driving techniques, and proper use of accessory equipment.
This year we will cover winch, Hi-Lift jack, and shovel use.  I am open to other demonstrations as well.

This will be a day ride.  We will meet at Busy Bee truck stop in Laurel, MS at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 31st

We will eat lunch out on the trail.  We will be eating chili dogs, of course.   Wink  Bring your own drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks.
Bring a folding chair for each person in your party.

Suggested gear:  Strong front and rear tow points and a working C.B. radio.  (not mandatory for this ride.)

If you have never been on an organized ride, this is the one you don't want to miss.
If you are an experienced off-roader, you are also welcome, of course.  Our goal is to educate and to have a fun-filled day on the trail.
Bring the family.  It will be a nice outing for all ages.

All vehicles must be road legal, registered and insured.  Drivers must be have a valid drivers license.  We will be on federal land and subject to all motor vehicle laws.  If you have any questions in this regard, PM me.

If you plan to attend this ride and havenot contacted or notified me, please do so by Thursday.  There will be alot of folks there, and I need to make sure I bring enough food.

One more note: Google's directions are wrong.  They give the correct address for Busy Bee, but the pointer is in the wrong place.  Use these directions instead:  http://www.merchantcircle.com/business/Busy.Bee.Truck.Stop.601-425-2879

People want to get out and do something before school starts back.  Since I decided to skip the Stennis Meet & Greet this year, we are getting some of that traffic as well.

Probably not going to get a lot of rigs from the site going because it interferes with our club sponsored work day at plo and beerfest

I'm aware of all that going on.  I'm not trying to snipe rigs away from your events.  Merely offering the opportunity.  It has always been ms-mud policy to invite the local clubs to our open rides.  It's no different than you posting the CSMJA event on ms-mud.  That is what were are here for.
There just happens to be multiple opportunities to ride lately.  I see that as a GOOD thing as long as there are enough people attending them, and attendance seems to be good all around.  Good times, my friend.  Good times.   Cheesy
I hope we can keep this momentum right into hunting season.

The pictures in that clearing were all either just before or during the drivers meeting so he was probably doing some last minute checking.
We had one Jeep that had some cooling issues and another Jeep that blew a fuel pump fuse. Other than that no casualties. Although I did bring home about 20 pounds of mud.

FYI, 12 Jeeps 2 Fords 1 Toyota and of course 1 Nissan; 16 rigs overall. Even had a few women drivers; was a great bunch or people
